2018 in Review: A Year of Transformation for WorkWave

2018 was an exciting year for WorkWave – from a transformational acquisition to a new CEO who is leading the charge into WorkWave’s next phase of growth, the events of 2018 have positioned WorkWave for another year of company success, innovative solutions and an exciting culture. Let’s take a look back at 2018’s company-wide highlights.

First Quarter

One of the major highlights of 2018 was WorkWave’s acquisition of Cube Six, Inc., the provider of ServMan software, which expanded WorkWave’s market-leadership in the field service space to HVAC, electrical and plumbing. The acquisition combined industry expertise with extensive software capabilities, enabling WorkWave customers to optimize all aspects of their operations. WorkWave was also named a NJBIZ Best Place to Work for the seventh year, as employee growth and culture have always been a major priority for the company.

Second Quarter

Q2 2018 was full of volunteering as the WorkWave team participated in its first ever Green Day Challenge with EarthShare New Jersey where WorkWave employees performed a beach cleanup for one of New Jersey’s bathing and fishing beaches. WorkWave also sponsored a garden bed at Fulfill’s headquarters in Neptune, NJ, where employees had the opportunity to build and fill the garden bed, and took care of the crops throughout the harvest season. The crops grown in these beds were used to make meals for the less fortunate in both Monmouth and Ocean Counties.

WorkWave also took home two awards for its solutions, including being named as a Technology Emerging finalist for the 15th Anniversary Enterprise Awards and was named a top ten routing and scheduling provider by Logistics Tech Outlook.

Third Quarter

One of the major highlights of Q3 was the appointment of WorkWave’s new CEO Marne Martin who was also appointed as the President of IFS’s Service Management Business Unit. Marne was appointed based on her experience leading high-growth and expansion phases in both publicly and privately held companies, and provides the leadership required to propel both brands into their next stages of growth and market expansion. Under Marne’s leadership, the two companies are working together to leverage a best-of-breed cloud approach. IFS and WorkWave’s cloud roadmap will provide service organizations at all sizes and levels of complexity with a resilient, high availability FSM solution that is perfectly tailored to their needs.

Fourth Quarter

In October, WorkWave attended PestWorld, one of its largest trade shows of the year, in Orlando, Florida. At this year’s show, WorkWave announced its redefined focus on the customer experience and end-user engagement, as well as new features tailored to the commercial pest control industry. WorkWave PestPac also made updates to its marketing automation capabilities, which provided a more seamless user experience focused on enhanced campaign management, and allows WorkWave PestPac users to create, send and track email marketing campaigns without leaving the platform.

WorkWave held its annual PestPac User Conference in New Orleans in early November, a four-day event that focused on WorkWave PestPac’s customers and features and included engaging educational sessions, keynotes from notable industry executives and a night filled with New Orleans-inspired food and entertainment. WorkWave also held its first annual PestPac User Conference social media contest where attendees shared photos from the photobooth, conference sessions, and their adventures around New Orleans.

In December, WorkWave CEO Marne Martin attended the NJBIZ Business of the Year Awards where WorkWave was named a finalist. WorkWave was also named to the Food Logistics FL100+ Top Software and Technology Providers list for its powerful SaaS solution, WorkWave Route Manager, which allows our food delivery customers to ensure that they can offer flexible, efficient and accurate delivery options to their own customers.

We are so excited for what’s to come in 2019!
